This Privacy Policy describes how Yellowstone IV Lounges & Wellness Center (“Yellowstone IV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website, create an account, or book a trip or cooking class.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with this website, we may collect:
- Account information. Booking on this website requires an account. When you create one, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, and, if you provide it, phone number. We ask for date of birth because every booking requires confirming you are 18 or older (see Terms of Service). This information is stored through our accounts platform, Supabase.
- Information from Google, if you sign in that way. If you choose “Continue with Google” instead of creating a password, Google shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us to create or sign into your account. We never receive your Google password or anything else in your Google account. If Google doesn’t have your date of birth to share (it doesn’t provide one), we’ll ask you for it directly, for the same 18-or-older reason above, before you can complete a booking.
- Trip and booking details you share with us in the course of arranging a reservation, such as travel dates, group size, or dietary or accessibility needs you choose to tell us about.
- Payment information. When you make a purchase, your payment is collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number ourselves. For a trip booked with a deposit, Stripe securely retains your payment method on our behalf so the remaining balance can be charged under the authorization you agree to at checkout — see the payment-authorization section of the Terms of Service for exactly how that works.
- Basic analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to see aggregate page-view information (such as which pages are visited and how often). It does not use cookies and does not track you individually or across other websites.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account, and process trip and cooking class bookings;
- Communicate with you about your booking, including pricing, deposits, balances due, and itinerary details;
- Confirm you meet the age requirement for booking;
- Improve our trips and this website; and
- Comply with legal or tax obligations related to operating this business.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Health-Related Information
If you voluntarily share health-related information with us (for example, in response to a request for dietary restrictions, allergies, or accessibility needs before a trip), we use that information solely to plan your trip experience safely and appropriately, and we do not share it beyond what is necessary for that purpose (for example, with a hotel or activity provider arranging an accommodation on your behalf). This website is not a healthcare provider, and information shared with us is not protected under HIPAA in the way it would be if shared with a covered medical provider.
4. Sharing of Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate this website and fulfill a trip or cooking class booking: Sanity.io (our website content and booking-records platform), Supabase (our accounts platform), and Stripe (our payment processor). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
- Third-party trip partners, such as hotels, local guides, or transportation providers, but only to the extent necessary to arrange your trip (for example, providing a hotel with your name and dates of stay); and
- Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Yellowstone IV or others.
We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention and Security
We retain contact and booking information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill your trip, respond to your inquiries, and meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations. We take reasonable measures to protect information you share with us, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices
You can view your account information at any time by logging in and visiting your account page. You may also contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, request that we correct it, or request that we delete it, subject to any legal or contractual obligations that require us to retain certain records (such as financial records related to a completed booking).
7. Children’s Privacy
This website and our trips are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and if you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated on this page or, where appropriate, directly to affected individuals.
